VISIONARY & DIRECTOR

For the past 15 years, Phil Goodman has been an integral part of the marketing and communications team at Brentwood Academy, where he currently serves as Director of Creative Services and Brand Management. In addition to his work at Brentwood Academy, Phil is the Founder and Director of the Elevate Conference, a collaborative gathering of independent school marketing and communication professionals established in 2022 to foster connection, share best practices, and inspire excellence across schools nationwide.

Phil has a reputation for thinking creatively and challenging conventional ideas. His broad experience in independent education, church ministry, non-profits, and entrepreneurial ventures has made him a sought-after consultant, collaborator, and leader. Phil has served as a featured speaker at civic events and has presented at several industry conferences focused on marketing, communication, and leadership.

When he’s not working or dreaming up new creative projects, you’ll likely find him enjoying an americano at a local coffee shop, traveling, or spending time with his wife Jaye and their daughter McKinley at their home in Bellevue, a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Libby Alvarez is a creative marketing leader known for her innovative approach to storytelling and brand development. She serves as the Director of Marketing at Lipscomb Academy, a leading private school in Nashville, Tennessee, where she helps shape and share the school’s story through intentional strategy and design.

With degrees in Marketing and Education from Lipscomb University, Libby blends creativity with strategic thinking to craft meaningful, authentic engagement across every platform. Her work spans social media, video production, photography, digital signage, and web design—transforming each space into an opportunity to connect people with purpose.

When she’s not brainstorming her next big idea or collaborating with her team, you can find her enjoying a trip to Disney World or the good life in Middle Tennessee, spending time with friends and family, or exploring new ways to bring stories to life.
